Professional Luxury Vinyl Flooring (LVT/LVP) Installation
Installing luxury vinyl flooring (LVT/LVP) demands higher technical precision than laminate, especially regarding subfloor preparation. The inherent flexibility of vinyl requires a perfectly flat and smooth subfloor to prevent any imperfections from "telegraphing" through the surface, which would compromise aesthetics and durability
Prerequisites and Site Preparation
The foundation is critical, and adherence to these steps ensures a flawless finish:
Subfloor Inspection and Leveling: The subfloor must be inspected with a straightedge to ensure it is level within the manufacturer's specified tolerance (typically 3mm over a 1.2-meter span). Any unevenness must be corrected with a self-leveling compound or by sanding.
Moisture Testing: It is essential to perform moisture tests, especially on concrete subfloors or in high-humidity areas. Excessive moisture can lead to issues such as bubbling, adhesive failure, and mold formation.
Surface Cleaning: The subfloor must be impeccably clean, dry, and free of any debris, dust, grease, or old adhesive residues that could compromise adhesion or plank locking.

Joint Staggering: The planks should be installed with staggered end joints to avoid a "step" or "H" pattern, which has an unprofessional appearance and can compromise structural stability.
Glue-Down Systems (Dryback)

Adhesive Application: We apply the adhesive to the subfloor using a specific notched trowel, following the manufacturer's instructions for adhesive coverage and open time.

Plank Placement: Each plank is carefully positioned and pressed firmly into the adhesive. Precise alignment is essential, as glue-down vinyl is less forgiving of placement errors.

Rolling: After installation, the entire surface must be rolled with a 100-pound floor roller to ensure complete adhesive transfer and maximum bond.
Finishing and Care
